I listened to Joe Biden’s dramatic speech on Thursday night about his wants and desires for gun control laws in America. He went through a litany of items he called solutions and how deplorable Republicans are for not agreeing with him unconditionally.

Canceling Loans Means Taxpayers Foot the Bill
The shame of the situation is that proponents of a bill to cancel or forgive outstanding student loans do not understand the process. Or worse, they know and are comfortable with someone else paying their debt. Either situation is disappointing and indicative of a generation weaned on entitlements.
Regaining Congress Cannot be About Investigations
It is an expectation by everyone, except Nancy Pelosi, that the Republicans will regain the House and possibly the Senate in November. The latest estimates are for a gain of thirty-five seats for the GOP in the House. Speculation about any swings in the Senate is unclear, and predictions are not forthcoming.
The Left Only Sees Gun Control
We have seen the suffering and mourning for a week now in Uvalde, Texas. They are starting to say goodbye to their loved ones, but it will be a long time before the tears dry for these folk who have had their loved ones taken long before their time. The shooting in Uvalde continues to … Read more
Can Eleven Dollars Make a Difference
Each Sunday, I want to take a step away from daily politics and focus on someone who has done extraordinary things or who we may need to know a little better. This week’s focus is on Frank Siller.
Who is the SCOTUS Leaker?
It has been nearly four weeks since the Washington Post reported the leak from the Supreme Court, and we still are nowhere closer to the truth. That is four weeks of protests by groups favoring Roe v. Wade and the ongoing saga of our Supreme Court justices being in danger from overzealous radicals.
The Gun or the Shooter?
I am sure you would have difficulty finding anyone not touched by the senseless shooting inside the classroom of the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Whether you have children, grandchildren, or are just a feeling human being, you probably had difficulty sleeping on Tuesday night.
The State of the Union is Far From Good
My blog started its journey on January 25, 2021. Donald Trump had left Washington the week before his new home at Mar-a-Lago, and except for the Pandemic, he turned over a country that was in good shape and ready to come out of hibernation and grow. The Border was secure, inflation at 2%, the stock … Read more
Maggie Hassan Exemplifies Desperation and Misinformation
Maggie Hassan is the junior Senator from New Hampshire and our former Governor. A great question is how she achieved either office. Hassan is a poorly rated Senator and votes 100% along party lines.
Families Have Values, School Boards Do Not.
We know that the education system in this country has been indoctrinating our children for decades. The process began in the colleges and universities where the Progressive and Socialist professors programmed the easily influenced students who thought they were preparing to teach. They would graduate and go on to teach, but they were also, unwittingly, … Read more
Let Him Speak, Then Clean Up the Mess
The White House is faced with a huge conundrum. Do they let the President out of the house and let him speak and answer questions or keep him under wraps. If they muzzle the President, he faces criticism and increased speculation about his health and mental acuity. If they take off the reins and take … Read more
Sunday Spotlight: The Pond is Our Oasis
This past week was so tumultuous that I had difficulty finding someone or thing positive to highlight this Sunday. It is exasperating to see the number of current and impending issues we face. Crime, illegal immigration, inflation, rising gas prices, supply chain issues, infant formula shortage, upcoming global wheat shortage…the list seems to go on … Read more
Fentanyl Deaths are Collateral Damage
Fentanyl death, by poisoning or overdose, is now the leading cause of death in America for the 25 to 45 age group. Originating in China and distributed to the United States by Mexican cartels and smugglers. There is no legal use for this imported drug, and it should be classified as a terrorist act to … Read more
Will There Be Enough Rope to Save Us
I feel we will be looking back at yesterday, May 18, as the day we passed the point of no return. Domestically, internationally, and monetarily, the hammer came down and what remains is barely recognizable.
Biden Promised Normal, This Isn’t Normal
Maybe this is normal. After all, normal is a relative term, so maybe to Joe Biden and his incompetent team, we are precisely where they want us to be. If that is the case, eighty-one million people were sold a bill of goods, and the rest of us can say we told you so.
Biden’s Ministry of Truth Is Dead and Frau Jankowicz Has Already Left the Building
“You can’t handle the truth” may have been one of the most fantastic lines in Hollywood History, but it is also a tagline of the Biden Administration. A few weeks ago, Joe Biden announced the formation of a new department that would operate under the Department of Homeland Security umbrella. This idea proved to be a flawed and unpopular decision on all fronts and possibly violated many Constitutional rights.
Our Former President is a Creature
The Democrats were apoplectic for four years every time President Trump spoke or tweeted an off-color description of an adversary. Sleepy Joe, Pocahontas, and Crooked Hillary were some that hit the mark and set the media world on fire. The Left claimed this language was below the status of President and was one of the reasons they urged you to vote for Joe Biden. Uncle Joe would bring civility and harmony back to a White House plagued by the evil Orange Man. The hair sniffing look at the hair on my legs in the pool man from Delaware would bring class and decorum back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Like a cheap used car salesman, they lied.
Nationalism vs. Globalism
The alternate title for this post is America First Vs. America Last. There could not be two opinions or philosophies that are more diametrically opposed. Sovereignty Vs. Open Borders. Limited Government Vs. Central Government.
New Post-Psaki Era is Not Good News
I am not a fan of outgoing White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. She was condescending and arrogant. She lacked credibility for someone who claimed to represent the most transparent administration in history, and her comments were often rebuked. She often gave the impression that she was not the spokesperson but was calling the shots. … Read more
Sunday Spotlight: Tulsi Gabbard
Each Sunday, I want to take a step away from daily politics and focus on someone who has done extraordinary things or who we may need to know a little better. This week’s focus is on Tulsi Gabbard.
