Maggie Hassan sent a press release that attempts to highlight her “Priorities for Women and Families” before Women’s Equality Day on Friday. Hassan makes her usual false claims that she’s essentially been making year after year after year. She never does follow through and she continues to patronize women and demean them by treating them as if they are unintelligent with her lies.

Jim Lawrence was at a “meet and greet” last week in Hudson, New Hampshire when he was asked a question about the issue of Medical Marijuana card holders losing their 2^ndAmendment rights. Lawrence is a candidate running in the Republican primary for the 2^ndCongressional District seat that is currently held by Democrat Annie Kuster. Yesterday, a Manchester reader brought an important issue to New Hampshire Political Buzz, one that appears to link corruption between Mayor Ted Gatsas, the Manchester Board of Alderman and Elm Grove Companies. On Thursday the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) announced that it will not consider marijuana to be used for medicinal purposes at the federal level. Although there have beennumerous studies that show marijuana to be helpful for certain medical diseases and issues, the Federal Department of Agriculture has not agreed with these studies and therefore will not approve marijuana for medical treatment. Medical marijuana is still illegal at the federal level. The DEA did agree to increase facilities that are growing marijuana for research but this does nothing to change current law.

On Friday it was reported by New England Ski Industry that the amount of taxpayer-backed funding now being requested by Les Otten for the Balsams’ “renovation” is $40 million rather than the original $28 million. This on the heels of a report that Otten hasn’t even requested the proper permits to even begin working on the project.

Yesterday the Seacoast online reported that Maggie Hassan believes she knows why Senator Kelly Ayotte’s poll numbers have dropped. Hassan believes it is because of Ayotte’s support for Donald Trump. Ayotte said from the beginning of the election season that she would support the Republican nominee.

On Friday a Rockingham County Court Judge ruled in favor of Mike Gill and Aaron Day on a portion of the defamation lawsuit brought against them by businessmen Dick Anagnost, Andrew Crews and William Greiner. The suit was brought back in April due to signs placed on a Manchester billboard that accuse the men of either being drug dealers or extortionists.

On Sunday, Mayor Ted Gatsas gave a stump speech at the Rockingham County Republican Committee candidate forum. In his speech he once again made claims about his record on Common Core that aren’t true and what he claims he will do in the future.

Yesterday Jeanie Forrester, candidate for governor in the Republican primary and current New Hampshire State Senator, signed the Americans for Prosperity Pledge. The pledge states that the signers will cut taxes and fees; cut spending and government; pass Right-to-Work and oppose all forms of Obamacare in New Hampshire. It also states that the signer will uphold both the New Hampshire Constitution and the United States Constitution.

Forrester claims she is the “only conservative” running in the Republican primary yet she leaves out an extremely important fact about her voting record – she voted for Obamacare’s Medicaid Expansion when it was first shoved down the throats of Granite Staters back in 2014. Somehow her pledge to oppose all forms of Obamacare rings hollow. Seems Forrester was for Obamacare before it became politically expedient to be against it while running for governor.

Recently it was reported that the Concord Monitor refused to allow their reporter, Nick Reid, to testify in court in Democrat operative Carl Gibson’s voter fraud case. They claimed it was a First Amendment right that Reid not testify even though Reid was the one who discovered that it was Gibson who sent a hoax email during Yvonne Dean-Bailey’s election back in 2014. Ironically, a majority of the articles have disappeared from the Monitor’s website.

On Friday it was reported by NHPR that New Hampshire’s useless Attorney General Joe Foster filed an amicus brief supporting Obama’s transgender ‘guidance’ to allow males who have gender identity issues to use female bathrooms, changing rooms and locker rooms and vice versa. The problem is that the majority of Granite Staters are absolutely against these new rules being handed down from the federal government.

Yesterday a new political poll was released by the NH Journal and Inside Sources for the 2016 election. One of the questions surveyed specifically asked about Maggie Hassan and her husband, Tom Hassan’s, sex scandal cover up related to Phillip’s Exeter.

In case you were unaware, a woman came forward claiming she had an inappropriate relationship with a member of the faculty at Phillips Exeter when she was a teenager. It’s unclear why it’s called a “sex scandal” and not sex abuse since the man clearly held power over the young woman. That man’s name is Rick Schubart.
