Another October means another ‘Groktober. An opportunity to play up the alliteration and maybe even raise some funds. This operation is a completely independent media entity that runs almost entirely on donor funds. You can’t deduct them for your taxes, but your identity remains a secret. We don’t have to report “who gives” to anyone.
Your gift is anonymous.
With that said, we always need more donors and donations. Groktober is a fine time of year for that, even though we have to compete with every other PAC, fundraiser, and campaign. Why give to us?
We’ve been here for twenty years, and we’re still your independent conservatarian blog site. Candidates come and go; some of them go left. We’re always where we started. Hold their signs, knock on their doors, man their phone banks, send us an op-ed to publish, but support local, independent conservative media. We actually defend your ideas no matter what, and the Constitution, state and federal.
While the Socials still give us some grief (remember, it’s easy to break things, and we’re still trying to fix what Biden did to our social feeds during COVID for years), we’re building and rebuilding our audience. I moved us to Rumble last year, and all-time views are approaching 5 million; most of those are from the past 12 months, thanks to the Morning Update and GrokTALK!.
And the ‘Grok Rumble channel went from 30 followers to over 1200 this year, and climbing (yes, we are still on YouTube as well as X and Facebook).
We have a growing following on LinkedIn (believe it or not), and ‘Grok articles can now be found on NH Patch. I’m also trying to reboot the Grok Group on Facebook.
So, your investment in GraniteGrok.com continues to deliver our message to new and growing audiences.
And we are truly independent. There’s little to no guarantee that where you get your news and information isn’t influenced by third-party money, especially political ads. GraniteGrok will take your ad dollars, but they buy you nothing but ad space. Neither advertisers nor donors get editorial discretion. It’s why we get so few ads from campaigns, and their donors never support our work.
They usually want something in return, and we won’t do it. That’s increasingly rare, so you won’t find it in most, if not all, of the places you get your news except GraniteGrok.com.
The political right is not monolithic, and while we agree on much, there are more than a few issues where the disagreements can get interesting. We’ll publish letters, op-eds, and commentary from all sides of our side and sometimes, the other side. Article V conventions, for example, always start a rhetorical food fight, and we’re happy to provide space for that no matter where you land.
We also accept and publish commentary from people you wouldn’t expect when we all agree on an issue.
We are celebrating 20 years of pissing off just about everybody, and a donation isn’t just a nice “birthday” gift. It also ensures we can keep making people uncomfortable for bad votes or outrageous behavior, for all the right reasons.
To close, I’d like to thank everyone who has continued to support what we do, especially since late 2023 when I took over the joint. 2026 is the third full calendar year under Grok Media LLC ownership, and while I hate asking for money, there’s no other way to do this. It doesn’t happen without that, and your contributions are greatly appreciated, whether in content, news tips, sharing or amplifying the content, or in actual dollars, without which none of that other stuff is possible.
And maybe you can’t give right now, but if you know anyone who might support the project, please forward this to them or let me know. We run on a shoestring budget, but there’s nothing wrong with better shoestrings.
You can use the donor portal or, if you prefer to give by check, email me at steve@granitegrok.com, and I’ll send you the mailing address for Grok Media, LLC.
