It’s that time of the month. My appearance on WFEA’s Morning Update with Jeff Chidester.
This week, we start with campaign commercials, specifically the dueling montage directed at the open U.S. Senate seat in New Hampshire.
Jeff and Steve kick off the segment by dissecting the latest wave of Senate race attack ads aimed at Chris Pappas and John E. Sununu. Between slickly produced campaign spots and spotty “facts,” the guys break down the spin, the strategy, and the ongoing attempts to address Chris Pappas’ persistent “socialist problem” in the Granite State.
Pappas is running on how John Sununu made money in the private sector as if that’s a bad thing, while he was using your money to peddle political favors and influence (my take).
Then it’s Maura Healey’s post-Clancy home visitation program. A chance to get someone from the government in your home, at taxpayer expense, and what could go wrong with that? Everything.
Finally, the statewide property and income tax debate here in New Hampshire. Democrats’ crocodile tears about taxes while wanting more and higher taxes, as well as the problem with Town Meetings.
