The entire premise behind stricter gun laws, regardless of what they presume to accomplish, is that the law will in some way result in “better” behavior than before the limitation was passed.
But we already made rape, robbery, assault, and murder illegal and (guns or not) people continue to commit these crimes. So anyone who thinks that inhibiting or prohibiting access to self-defense tools for law-abiding citizens who don’t want to be robbed, raped, assaulted, or murdered is a complete and utter fool or they have some other agenda.
