Some Brave and Edge Browser users have been encountering a security conflict. You can bypass it by right-clicking and opening the Grok link in private or incognito mode, but we’ve been trying to solve this. It keeps some readers from accessing content, and may have a solution.
From my web developer.
At the browser level, there is a cookie issue.
Cloudflare issues cookies when a visitor passes a challenge. These tokens have an expiration tied to your Cloudflare security settings. When a returning Brave user visits the site, their browser sends an old or partially valid Cloudflare token. Cloudflare rejects it and tries to re-challenge the visitor, which creates a redirect loop or repeated requests. Wordfence sees those rapid requests and blocks the user with the rate limit error.
(This cookie issue is why there wouldn’t be a problem in incognito mode)
So anyone who was having problems, have them clear their cookies, then retry accessing the site with Brave with these changes in place.
Give it a try. If you are unsuccessful, you can still right-click and open in private or incognito. Another suggestion is to query AI (I did that a few times to help us get here from there) and see if it coughs up a browser end resolution that works for you.
This is a limited-area-of-effect problem. Some Edge and Brave browser users have it. Most do not. Some can’t duplicate it, and others can’t escape it, but we’ll keep trying things if you are still affected.
We want you to read what our authors have to say.
Good luck.
And no, there is no escaping Cloudflare. It is everywhere, and at some point, you may run into this problem with other sites. I hope we’ve helped, and if not, we’ll keep looking.
