The BATF has finally admitted that, yes, they DO have a “gun registry” for almost all the firearms that have been sold through an FFL since the mid 1980’s. Caulk up another “win” for the conspiracy theorists! A gun registry was specifically forbidden in the gun laws that set up the NICS checks, so this is totally illegal of course, and the BATF pinkie swore that they wouldn’t create a registry (but they did anyway, as we knew they would). So far, about 90% of the paper records have already been digitized, but don’t worry; they can’t search for you by NAME you see, because they turned that part of the search function OFF (until they want to turn it ON again).
The ATF created a backdoor gun registry. Lawmakers want an explanation.
Of course the PROPER thing to do would be to erase this and ALL the backups, but the Dems would scream to high heaven, as they are just waiting to invoke martial law and start rolling through the database. Besides, even if the BATF said they completely deleted it (and all the backup copies), would you believe them?
