Wisconsin Takes Steps to Protect Free Speech on Campus

In the growing shadow of new legislation designed to protect free speech on campus, the board of regents for the University of Wisconsin (UW) state college system voted 16-1 to adopt a new policy in advance of a bill expected to pass the legislature.

Liberty McArtor, a staff writer for The Stream, wrote about the recent developments at stream.org, and I had an opportunity to speak with her about the UW policy, the bill, and where we find ourselves and speech on college campuses in 2018.
