Hanover, New Hampshire’s Energy Future, or Something.

Hanover New HampshireHanover, New Hampshire has a warrant article on their town ballot that fits nicely with the progressive worldview but strains the fabric of believability.

[su_quote]A combination of national and local concerns inspired town officials and organizers for the Sierra Club Upper Valley Group to support an article on Hanover’s Town Meeting warrant that would declare the community’s commitment to 100 percent renewable electricity by 2030, extending to heating and transportation by 2050.[/su_quote]

The concerns are primarily over Trump energy policy but never fear. The Sierra Club and no doubt the townsfolk will stay comfortable by redefining what ‘renewable’ and “100%” mean in this context to make sure they stay warm in the winter while feeling good about their local contribution to “saving the planet.”
