If you’re planning your New England wedding and want kids to feel welcome, there are plenty of Boston wedding venues that can make your dreams come true. That’s right, they’ll allow (and even encourage) kids to join in on the happy occasion. Surprised? If you’ve been searching high and low in Bean Town for the perfect kid-friendly wedding venue but haven’t found one yet, read our list and consider scheduling a tour.

Peirce Farm at Witch Hill

To transport you and your guests back in time to a more relaxed era, look no further than Peirce Farm at Witch Hill—right in Topsfield. The gorgeous circular driveway with a stunning statue and beautiful topiaries immediately puts everyone at ease—even the rowdiest kids!  Once inside, the historic and luxurious furnishings provide the perfect backdrop for pre- and post-wedding photographs, whether on the regal mahogany staircase or on a lush antique couch.  The rental fee includes access to the barn, the mansion, and the entire grounds for the day of your wedding, which provides plenty of party space options for you and your guests. When it comes to Boston wedding venues, this one takes the (wedding) cake!

Harvard General Store

With over 2,500 square feet of space, the unique Harvard General Store is a great kid-friendly option for your big day or reception. The loft-style floor plan can be easily divided into private alcoves if you want to make areas feel more intimate. And when it comes to aesthetics, the rustic atmosphere under exposed oak beams gives it a chic yet old-timey vibe that’s easily dressed up or down, depending on the decor you’re going for. There are also mobile bars and a baby grand piano if you want to hire a pianist for your event. Finally, the mahogany tables and chairs offer themselves to luxurious wedding photographs and candids with all the children and other guests.

Wedgewood Pines Country Club

Right on the city’s outskirts and on Harvard Road, the Wedgewood Pines Country Club is a go-to choice for Boston couples looking to celebrate in style. Save money on your wedding dress, though, because this location is a little pricier than the first two. Picture this: you’re exchanging vows in elevated country club style in the gorgeous (and massive) Clubhouse with the gorgeous gardens as the backdrop. The WPCC has easy indoor and outdoor ceremony space, so this works too if you want an outdoor wedding.  The reception room is quite large, as is the full-size dance floor, so you and up to 230 of your nearest and dearest can celebrate in style together. The venue also features a private terrace that looks down on the 18th green, where you can share special moments—whether you’re a golf lover or not!

The Lakehouse

Does your dream wedding mean being on or near the water? The Lakehouse is perfect, then. You can make your dreams come true here with lush gardens, lakefront views, and spectacular sunsets. The Lakehouse used to be called the Lakeside Villa and offers countless photo ops to frame and hang in your future home. Since then, it has undergone a total renovation and offers modern aesthetics with a charming vibe. It is worth noting, though, that they have a minimum of fifty guests, so if you’re planning a more intimate gathering (not likely if there are kids), then this isn’t the venue for you.

Groveland Fairways

Last on the list, but certainly not the least, is the Groveland Fairways. Imagine saying “I Do” in lush gardens underneath towering trees on a 100-year-old New England estate. Sounds dreamy, right? Well, the dreams are a reality here. This venue is known for its versatility and perfectly manicured and maintained grounds, hedges, and gardens. Groveland Fairways offers a delightful setting for a classic New England celebration, no matter what time of year you plan on tying the knot.  While the focus is on the exterior, the space boasts indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception areas, gorgeous fireplaces, and architectural details like crown molding and chair railing.

So while many couples in New England may opt for child-free weddings, let’s be honest – where’s the fun in that? By touring and choosing one of the above Boston wedding venues, you’ll lock in a gorgeous location for one of the biggest days of your life and know that everyone you love (no matter their age) will be there with you.
