Here’s a paragraph I never expected to read.
On June 23, a Buddhist mob [of] about 200 targeted a mosque and other religious buildings in a Muslim-dominated village in the Bago region. One Muslim man was injured and the minority group sought refuge in a neighboring town.
Buddhists mob. Not unimaginable but I guess I’d yet to imagine one.
According to this report Buddhists in Myanmar have destroyed two mosques in the country in recent weeks. Whatever passes for a government in the country is not doing anything to prevent this.
