Search Democrat AG Kathleen Kane for more history but long story short, she’s a bad girl. After dropping a bribery sting because it netted state Democrats she’s lived the storied life of a corrupt attorney general who has since been indicted for a leak scandal, perjury, and corruption. She can no longer practice law – her license has been revoked. So what does the state’s highest lawyer do when she can no longer practice law?
Since all three branches of state government began moving against her over the past year,Kathleen Kane has released hundreds of sexually explicit or otherwise crude emailsthat had been sent or received by current or former public officials on their government accounts.
The tangled scandal has led to the downfall of a state environmental secretary and shamed a state police commissioner, a Pennsylvania Supreme Court justice and several former top officials in the attorney general’s office. Another high-court justice resigned after newspapers disclosed his involvement.
This wont endear her to anyone and will probably accelerate impeachment proceedings but popcorn’s cheap. And while I’d prefer to watch the NH AG and the political class yahoos in NH dance over the hot coals of intrigue, this will do for now.
