Nancy Genovese was awarded 1.2 million by a federal jury for false prosecution. Arresting officers called her a ‘Teabagger’ and said she’d be arrested for terrorism as a lesson to the other tea baggers. The New York Post reported that she was armed to the teeth. She had a single, legally owned rifle locked in her trunk that she was transporting to a nearby range.
Genovese says she will use the money to start a foundation to help others who are wrongly arrested.
