The United States is set to be crowned the world’s largest producer of liquid petroleum this week, knocking Saudi Arabia off the top spot for the first time in two decades.

The shale oil and gas boom in America has led to output increasing from about 8 million barrels a day in 2011 to approaching 12 million barrels.

Production includes oil and gas, promotes export growth for NH Governor Maggie Hassan to brag about , and has been fingered for stopping the steady rise in prices as well as sowing some discord in OPEC.  Middle-East oil producers are now lowering prices to Europe and Asia to secure orders and the Saudi’s are selling November crude for around 79$ a barrel.

If American got serious and allowed energy companies to continue to develop resources the US could effectively topple the cartel and take control of the oil market, (which is also good for the dollar and our economy) while denying billion annually to hostile countries, many of whom finance terror.

But Democrats still say no.

If Democrats ere even half as smart and cared half as much about jobs and affecting global terror, they’d have embraced this opportunity years ago, but Democrats, including New Hampshire’s Shaheen, Kuster, and Shea-Porter are tied to a failed agenda that continues to finance our enemies while wasting billion of our own dollars on higher prices and bankrupt green-energy boondoggles.
