GrokTALK! Aug 2nd, 2014 With Ann Corcoran – Refugee Resettlement Watch

Next Up on GrokTALK! Ann Corcoron from Refugee Resettlement Watch joins us to tell us how she got involved in blogging about “non-profits” and contractors working quietly with the government to bring refugees into communities without alarming local taxpayers.  We touch on community and citizen rights with regard to transparency, and ultimately who or how refugees will be fed or cared for  after they are dumped on local municipalities with little or no warning or preparation.

Ann discusses the original refugee resettlement laws, the UN’s involvement, and how contractors, paid by the head, are financed to funnel refugees in, hook them up to public services, bring in their families, hook them up to public services, and so on.

If you need a primer on the refugee resettlement process, the background, and the problems, this is the segment to listen to.
