Little internet birds are sharing some news about a phone poll paid for by Gary Lambert’s congressional campaign in New Hampshire. One reader called it a push poll.
Someone remarked that while the poll asked questions about the NH race for US Senate and the race in CD-2, that the poll focus was to promote Lambert and (in his mind at least) smudge Marilinda Garcia’s reputation–his Republican Primary opponent. That was their impression, and they were not happy.

That last reader said he had not decided before the call but liked much of what Lambert has said. This poll just ruined that. So I guess it is a push poll. It pushed a voter (and not just any voter but a primary voter) toward his opponent.
I have not heard it. I don’t do phone polls. (And this is not even my District). But this was probably not the reaction they were hoping to get.
Cultural note: If you Google ‘Phone Poll’ and check images, the very first image returned is a Phone Pole. Yup.
