Help Us, Pot And Gambling. You’re Our Only Hope

This may be the dumbest thing I read today.  dice pipe(I confess, it is sitll early, but for now…)

“We need revenue,” said Rep. Frank Sapareto, R-Derry. “We know what our options are. There are only two. We know it’s going to be marijuana or gambling. That’s the only way we’ll get additional revenue. Our other options are income tax or a sales tax.”

So there is nothing that could be done to incentivize business growth and increase employment which would…create revenue (the state can’t do without?) other than the promotion of vice?  Anyone else sense the irony there?
