“Koch Brothers 30 year Plot to Destroy Public Television…” is a great headline because it will attract progressives haters the way blood attracts sharks. Maybe we’ll even get some of that Democrat civility we always hear about. You know, the rhetoric about arsonists, extortionists and terrorists, and that’s just from Democrats in congress and the media. The full-blown left-wing-nut-roots crowd who are just one twig-snap away from being the next Adam Lanza, Andrew Engeldinger, or James Holmes, all Democrats who committed mass shootings, could very likely write some very entertaining things from which we can milk posts for weeks.
So why that headline? Well, there is an ellipses so let me finish it, and yes it is about the Koch Brothers and Public Television and a protest.

So how have these “evil masterminds” plotted to unhinge a mooring in the Public TV Universe? By giving them money. They must have known (back in 1982) that at some point someone in the full-blown left-wing-nut-roots crowd that is just one twig-snap away from being the next Adam Lanza, Andrew Engeldinger, or James Holmes, would protest and force the station to give up easy money or shut down operations because they were giving them money.
Yeah, it’s satire, in one respect, but don’t be surprised if some scenario very similar to this one shows up under Markos Moulitsas by line, or that of one of his Kos-kids in the next 48 hours.
Honestly. It is almost sinister. Give a PBS affiliate $18.6 million of their own money over thirty years so that progressive wing nut environmentalists will one day protest the funding of a science program by Republicans who are clearly giving them money to end the scourge of science and it’s assault on the Republican agenda.
Genius.
