When I’m wrong, I apologize

Hey mister, I apologize.
Hey mister, I apologize.
Either I need to get my eyes checked or I am in the first stages of CRAFT syndrome.  At today’s “Honor Your Oath” Rally, sponsored by Granite State Liberty PAC, I spied with my little eye a gentleman in an olive drab jacket with more cameras hung around his neck than I could stir with a stick.  He and his cameras seem to hang on every word of the speakers and in between, they canvassed the crowd as well.  Alarms went off in my head and “Eureka!”  I remembered him (or so I thought) as one of the lobbyists for NH’s SEIU.  Wracking my brain for his name, I could not for the life of me come up with it but, by golly, I knew that face!  Instead of having the good manners to re-introduce myself to him, I cast doubt aside and leapt into the crowd, turning a small video on him as his photographed the speakers.

He turned to me, took my photo videoing him, waved and returned to his task.  Another Grokster joined me and received the same. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I was wrong.  Wrong in my identifying him as an SEIU employee, wrong not to have confirmed it, wrong for not exercising the good manners to have asked him first.

So, here, publicly, I apologize. Shame on me for lowering myself to the standards of those with whom I disagree; I shall not do it again.
