Here’s the lineup:
-
GraniteGrok was asked to accept questions from readers that will be forwarded to the Fred Thompson campaign, where some will be selected to be answered directly by the man himself, via YouTube. We were inundated with replies from people wishing to participate. We’ll analyze the questions most on people’s minds.
-
For a second week in a row, we’ll have frequent MTNP guest Jen Rubin, whose work appears in all the bigtime punditry places including the American Spectator, NRO and ABC News, as well as Human Events, The Weekly Standard, and others. She brings the scoop on:
-
This week’s GOP debate
-
The different (hoped-for) paths to victory that have been chosen by the various campaigns
-
Her interview with Giuliani supporter Lois Freeh— there’ll be no "Brownies or Albertos in a Giuliani Administration. Why DO conservatives like Rudy?
-
The Fred factor– trouble with campaign finance reform ahead?
-
We’ll update the ongoing battle over the Right-to-Know law taking place here in Belknap County. Is there any such thing in these parts?
-
Farrell S. Seiler of DraftGoreNH announced this week that his group now has 1,000 signatures on its petition to draft Gore into the race for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. Regular readers of the ‘Grok know that we have been casting a wary eye at the prospect of Gore jumping into the fray, fearing he’ll win the whole thing if he does. We’ll ask Farrell if there’s any chance my fears might come true.
-
Another frequent MTNP guest, Liz Mair, our favorite "progressive" Republican, will take us through the end of the show with her always riveting thoughts on a variety of topics, including:
-
Her take on the debate (round 2 for the gang)
-
Is it a big issue? If one puts any credibilty to the pile of Fred questions we got this week, the answer is YES!
-
What about Huckabee and those labor unions?
-
Does he, or doesn’t he? Osama bin Laden– has he been caught using "Just for Men" hair color? We’ll discuss his beard color, and what the new video means, if anything. Is Osama really a Democrat?
-
Chuck Hagel calls it quits— both a run for the Prez, and a run for re-election to the US Senate. My reaction? "Don’t let the door hit you in the @$$ on the way out, you @$$!" Why am I wrong?
-
Etcetera…
