Iranian Backed Militia Rocket Attack Hits Cafeteria Inside Baghdad Green Zone

Rocket attacks on US positions in Iraq are not uncommon. Hitting anything is. Reports claim three rockets hit the US Embassy Compound in Baghdad including a cafeteria at dinner time.

At least three rockets hit the U.S. embassy compound in Baghdad Iraq on Sunday.

There have been many close calls in the past, but this is the first actual direct hit on the facility in years.

A least one rocket is reported to have hit the embassy cafeteria during the dinner hour, while two other rockets landed nearby.

No injuries are being reported. Local Iranian backed militias are being blamed for the attack. What if any response remains unknown but Iran might want to keep their high ranking military officials on a short leash. President Trump was clear that any attacks by Iran’s militias would be considered an attack by Iran.
