Republican Senate Says “We’ll Get Kennedy’s Replacement Confirmed This Fall”

McConnell's Shady Crew

Democrats are always mad, but at least now they have a reason. Mitch McConnell says the U.S. Senate will have a replacement on board for Justice Kennedy before the November election.

Democrat’s are (believe it or not) playing the hypocrisy card because the GOP balked at moving on Merrick Garland before the Presidential Election in 2016. They demand the same consideration here. Wait until after November.

It sounds good on paper but here’s the reality sandwich. Democrats would not wait. They’d accelerate everything, kill any filibuster rules, and cram every judge and piece of legislation they could through the chamber before November.

Mc Connell should do the same and let them whine.

If Schumer and the Democrats really want to make a deal, there are a million more things that need to hit the table before McConnel should even consider taking their request seriously. And after brief if not fleeting consideration he should still say no.

Because Democrats would never wait.

Remember. Make them live up to their book of rules, not yours.
