Let’s say you are a Democrat and you need to fund some entitlement to pay off your voter base. And (for some reason) you can’t use the government to rob the taxpayers for you.
Would you rather “break in” to homes where you know there is little to no chance of lawful, armed resistance or homes where you might be confronted by a homeowner trained to use a firearm?
(Most “criminals” prefer the former.)
