Wolves Against Central Planning

1200px-Yellowstone-wolf-17120Wolves make the case against central planning, that is against Socialism and pretty much all the -isms that leave Leftist priapistic.

As is usually the case when the government, or anyone really, gets involved in something in which it has no business, but is arrogantly confident of its positive affects on things, the unforeseen and unintentional consequences blow up in its face like an exploding cigar. Whether it’s  the EPA turning the rivers toxic orange with waste, or the ATF running guns to Mexico only to have the cartels it was trying to dismantle acquire them and use on our own Border Patrol agents, killing one of them, or the government predator control programs wiping out the wolves of Yellowstone National Park which lead to deer over population, despite humans (read government) attempt to control it. Central planning muffs it a great deal of the time.

The deer ravaged the vegetation of the park so completely, it drove out the birds and other flora dependent creatures, which affected amphibians and trees and bears and, believe it or not, even affected the rivers increasing erosion and the geographical contours of the park itself.

The governments meddling caused more unintentional damage to the environment it was trying to help. It’s the same old saw. If only the government kept its grubby mitts to itself in the first place. It’s a fatal conceit to think one can control everything. One cannot.

Now, look what happened when the wolves were reintroduced 70 years after their removal.

It’s quite remarkable, isn’t it? I wonder how much money, time, and effort was waisted as a result of removing the wolves in the first place. There’s a lesson here. I wonder if the Left will be humble enough to hear it… what am I saying. No I don’t. They won’t be. They know everything. They’re sure of it.
