This special prosecutor tasked with bringing down President Trump has latched onto a former Trump campaign manager and his business partner for what looks like failure to file as foreign agents back in 2013.
Shot fired, target missed. Better luck next time Mr. Muller.
Seeing as Paul Manafort, the only big-name indictment prosecutor Muller has, was with several Trump campaign people during their meeting with a Russian during the presidential campaign, a normal person would have thought, or if a progressive, hoped, prosecutor Muller would have linked Manafort with some big-name suspects involved with Russians.
Manafort has already turned over his notes of the famous Trump Tower meeting with a Russian named Natalia Veselnitskaya. This why Muller raided Manafort’s home in a pre-dawn show of – we don’t have anything criminal regarding the Trump Tower meeting.
Prosecutor Muller, with all his investigative power, including a host of Democrat donating assistants, a friendly press to leak to, a DC Grand Jury which will always find evidence to indict any Republican, as well as an unlimited budget, has this indictment to hang his hat on? Come on.
Muller has at least eight targets from the Trump Tower meeting he can prosecute. Two potential targets are the Holy Grail of targets – Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner. They went to the famous meeting with the intention of getting some lobbyist-offered dirt on Clinton. That is expressed in an email Muller has in his gritty possession. What more evidence does Muller need?
So why not charge Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner with…attempted Campaign Opposition Research!
There must be a law against opposition research when it is conducted by Republicans. I know CNN feels there is.
Otherwise, Prosecutor Muller will be relegated to fishing through tax records like he was an IRS agent.
On the flip side:
If Muller digs into Natalia Veselnitskaya – up comes Fusion GPS, who she is associated with. You dig into Fusion GPS and up comes CNN collusion.
And who let Natalia Veselnitskaya back into our country in 2016 when she was denied a visa?
My humble suggestion is that a Special Prosecutor is appointed to investigate Fusion GPS for not registering as a foreign fake dossier agent back in 2016.
If President Rump and his new or re-energized Attorney General appoint a competent special prosecutor, this investigation should be able to get Fusion GPS’s internal documents by at least a few weeks before the 2018 elections.
Everything you would ever want to know about the DC Swamp can be revealed.
