NH DHHS proposes taxpayer funding of sex change surgery

by Steve MacDonald

Burning USS Raleigh on NH State FlagBreaking news from Girard at Large,

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services has proposed to eliminate the Medicaid rule that prohibits the program from funding sex reassignment surgeries.  Disturbingly, while the proposed rule change hasn’t even been heard yet, Girard at Large has obtained a letter sent by the department directly to a minor child enrolled in the NH Healthy Families program.  The child to whom this letter was addressed is 11 years old.

According to information contained on the department’s Rulemaking Notice Form:

This proposal amends the rule, by deleting paragraph (g), to remove the categorical prohibition of coverage of gender reassignment surgery.

Taxpayer funded sexual reassignment surgery. I wonder who’ll get behind that?

Before anyone raises their hand Rich has some questions you’ll have to be able to answer.

  • Does the state actually intend to allow and pay for sex change surgeries on pre-pubescent children?
  • Will the state allow and pay for sex change surgeries on adolescent children who have not reached the age of majority?
  • If so, will they do it with our without parental consent?
  • Will parents be prevented from knowing their children are considering sex change surgeries, or from having the surgery until after the fact because of the state’s desire to “protect” a child’s “privacy rights?”

The Democrats approved abortion without parental notification in New Hampshire and fought tooth and nail to prevent it ever being required for minors because that is what their abortion lobby masters required.

Same deal here, especially with money pouring in from the LGBTQGOFU lobby using Trans-rights (which are rights until they choose not to be) as another progressive mule.

It’s what they do. It’s all they do.

Rich also reminds us that the story is developing. I think I’ll just say it’s progressing.

And one final note to pass along.

A public hearing on the matter is scheduled for August 24th.  Exact details are contained within the Rulemaking Notice Form.

That ought to be a hoot!

Can an 11-year old child really make the decision to become sterile for life? Sex-change treatment damages the body, stunts growth, and causes permanent sterility. Yet, children are being allowed to make the decision to undergo such drastic treatment. Inevitably, they will change their minds and regret it. Who will take responsibility? The parents of this 11-year old should be reported as child abusers.

I do NOT want my taxes in any way shape or form to support this, for ANYONE, no matter what age. Put some money into PROPERLY investigating things like children being left alone (child endangerment!!!), you turn a blind eye, just because the parent or step-parent says “oh, I won’t do it again”. Why not help someone who is honestly making an effort to get off drugs but cannot afford it on their own (doctor visits/prescriptions) and investigate longtime freeloaders who are abusing the “system”! “Disability” is a big joke to many because they are getting away with it! By the way, how much money does the State get from the folks who have to sign a lien (on their property) to the State when they receive help, and then die? Nope, I’m not impressed with DHHS at all….can you tell?
