On July 25th voters in New Hampshire State Senate District 16, will go the polls in a special election. The Democrat in that race is Manchester Ward 1 Alderman Kevin Cavanaugh. Kevbo is on record in support of making Manchester a Sanctuary city. Seeing as the Kevinator is an elected official in the largest city in a state with a well advertised “opioid epidemic” perhaps he should consider this from The Hill.com.
“… the U.S. Sentencing Commission found that 75 percent of all criminal defendants who were convicted and sentenced for federal drug offenses were illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants were also involved in 17 percent of all drug trafficking sentences and one-third of all federal prison sentences.
A recent Lawrence, MA, drug raid–a city called out by Governor Sununu as a leading source of the drugs coming into New Hampshire, netted over 30 individuals, many of them illegal immigrants moving drugs to cities like Manchester.
Sununu also claimed that 85 percent of fentanyl in New Hampshire comes from Massachusetts.
The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office confirmed the claim, telling the Associated Press that the bulk of the heroin and fentanyl being brought into the state is from Lawrence.
The Kevosauruas would invite this sort of risk into the heart of Manchester.
So, is Kevin ‘Sanctuary City‘ Kavanaugh unwilling to connect these dots or is he just incapable?
Manchester residents and the voters in State District 16 need to ask themselves if someone this tone deaf can be trusted with not just more political power but any political power at all.
