The Anti-Trump Left’s New Movement (Indivisible) Has Ties to Soros Money

While surfing content for the New Media Militia, I came across an article at SeacostOnline about a meeting for a group called Indivisible. Their mission is to oppose Donald Trump’s agenda and to agitate and organize for the purpose. My first thought was, Democrats, can’t do anything without a union or some other progressive billionaire funding them so who is writing the checks?

People with ties to George Soros.

(Daily Signal) “Indivisible is ultraslick leftist astroturf activism at its finest,” Matthew Vadum, senior vice president at the Capital Research Center, told The Daily Signal in an email. “At least three of the group’s five principals—Ezra Levin, Leah Greenberg, and Angel Padilla—have ties to organizations funded by George Soros. Indivisible is apparently not yet a nonprofit, but plans are in the works to register it as a nonprofit.”

The Tea Party Movement was hundreds, if not thousands of individuals and small groups with WordPress or Facebook pages, some of which coalesced into local or regional groups or cooperative efforts, with a handful of others clamoring to claim a national pedigree.

The progressives tried to join the party with heavily funded astroturf organizations that looked sleek and polished right out of the box, like the Coffee Party. They pretended to be organic, but only a handful or rubes believed it.

Indivisible is similar to those efforts but with a difference. Where before the left was struggling to defend a message by the unbelievably popular president of a believably unpopular party, now they’ve got Trump on which to focus. Trump all day, Trump all night.  Trump derangement syndrome on parade.

And where the protest left used to tie every Republican to the Tea Party agenda, whatever that was–because it was different depending on what local flavor of the movement you faced–the Trump agenda is the reversal of the Obama agenda.

That is something they can parrot without even if they have no clue what it means.

Indivisible, like its precursors, was sleek and well-funded out of the box. Local, out-of-state funded left-wing NGO’s activists will move toward the cash and the list building opportunities it presents. All while continuing to insist they are organic grassroots movements inspired by the will of your neighbors.

They aren’t. It’s more well-fed beneficiaries of progressive politics flexing their financial muscles to create that perception. And perception works, but only if you let it.
