Redefining “Higher Learning”? Yale is certainly making an effort to do so.

Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut has two newsworthy stories this week: first up, a leader of the #BlackLivesMatter movement has accepted a guest lecturer spot at the Yale Divinity School, leading a one-credit course entitled, “Transformational Leadership in the #BlackLivesMatter movement.” Here is a photo of DeRay McKesson, the newest instructor at Yale:

Again, this is a new course being taught in the Yale DIVINITY School.

Second up: A Saudi Arabian real estate mogul named Abdallah Kamel has donated $10 million to the Yale Law School for the creation of a center of Islamic Law and Civilization, (read: Sharia Law). The Yale Daily News offers up all of the details of the “gift” here.

How proud the Yale community must be, sponsoring university classes in both faux anarchy and real fascism at the same time.

So, I’m wondering, is this the new definition of “higher learning”?  I’m not sure it is worth the cost of $63,250 in annual tuition.
