NH Democrat Renny Cushing – Government Should Invade Your “Bedroom”

When-Yes-means-No
When Yes means No

Yesterday Susan posted a link regarding an LSR submitted by NH House Rep Renny Cushing, (D-Rockingham District 21.)

Renny has proposed a bill (like one recently passed in California) that would require all universities, in New Hampshire’s case public and private, to adopt and enforce a set of draconian rules for all human sexual interaction on campus.

Yes, the prophesied anti-sexual theocracy is upon us. But the long feared bedroom invasion comes not from the Christian right. It comes from the religion of the secular humanist-social justice Democrats in the New Hampshire House.

No, you don’t have to wait until marriage to have sex, but you had better have your papers ready and a detailed account of the events (reliable witnesses?) in case someone (who can’t possibly know better herself according to Renny) should later decide that what appeared to be a spontaneous and mutual desire for physical intimacy at the time…was in fact rape.

Does this cover lesbian rape? Gay rape? Rape-rape?, to borrow a phrase from Whoopie Goldberg.

We don’t have a detailed text but the California Bill holds state money hostage if a college or university fails to establish a properly aligned dogma for sexual consent rules. Renny’s inquisition would insist that if a school’s sexual consent star chamber does not satisfy Renny (can we call that Democrat Dogma Style?), or should the private institution say, what’s the word I’m looking for, NO!, that private college will get fiscally raped by the New Hampshire tax man.

How very Democrat of him. Invading your student’s bedrooms or we deny you your non-profit status and tax you.

Any chance you might include fiscal punishments where public school teachers engage in sexual relations with actual children? New Hampshire could deny tax exempt status to non-profit teachers unions over failing to deal with cases of statutory rape, where the debate about “consent” isn’t even a problem. No? The unions probably wouldn’t take that lying down would they?

Or, how about this, Rockingham County District 21.  November is coming.  Maybe you could vote this “California – Dreamin’ ”  idiot out of office.
