Hey! NH Republicans – Any Deal to Take The Medicaid Money Will Give Partisan Democrats Cover On ObamaCare.

medicade- Looks refreshing, but always comes back to haunt you laterWe’ve been going on a lot about Medicaid expansion in New Hampshire, and why shouldn’t we?  Both sides are dickering (yes, I actually said dickering) over how to accept other people’s money so that they can then dicker over how to take ours, all in the name of helping people.

Far be it form me to avoid the obvious; the only people the Democrats are helping are themselves and the only people the Republicans are helping are the Democrats.

Typically the debate about how to use government to take money from the people who earn it is engaged exclusively by the left.  That is because there are few if any ideas to ever come out of the head of a Democrat that do not require forcing someone else to pay for it.  These modern day Robin Hoods steal from everyone and give it to people who then promise to vote for them as long as they keep the gravy flowing, even if that gravy train is headed for a cliff.

The debate over expanding Medicaid in New Hampshire is no different.  The expansion will require us to take 2.4 billion dollars from someone else–probably China, who will then take it from our children with interest–all so we can then pay more in local taxes every year forever, all for the privilege of having been put on a hook  tied to the Federal government by the party of local control and fiscal responsibility, while also giving the Democrat supporters of the worst piece of partisan legislation to be rammed through in a life time some much-sought after bipartisan cover.

Republican Strategy Meeting.

“Everyone hates ObamaCare.  It is all the bad things we ever said and more.  It could be an electoral disaster for Democrats.  I say we join them!”

$2.4 Billion must be the right kind of bait to get the Party-First Republican in New Hampshire to put aside years of anti-ObamaCare rhetoric and put us all on the hook in perpetuity.

The friend of my enemy is my…Republican State Senator.

Only an Establishment Republican would find a way to embrace a critical part of Obama Care and give those poor Democrats some much-needed support on an issue we should be avoiding as of it were Ebola.

And why not?  Democrats clearly engaged in a massive conspiracy to commit vote fraud, which Party Republicans ran away from.  Nothing could follow that appetizer any better than a big steaming plate of  “We Love ObamaCare Now.”

Wait, I know.  The Republican Senate plan is different.

If you are not sure how to articulate that difference I am here to help.

“Same old whore, new dress.”

This is an anchor that will drive up budgets and inevitably lead to some kind of new tax to offset the sterling benefits of ‘Free Government Money,’  leading us down the primrose path that ends the New Hampshire Advantage and Democrats could not be happier.

Democrat happiness is, of course, a red flag.  It is a creeping fever, body aches, chills.  A symptom that if left untreated will lead to an atrophy of economic and personal freedom as government is empowered to take even more and more money from the people who earn it.  Anything Democrats want Republicans should oppose.

Democrats want Medicaid Expansion and pushers give out free drugs to hook paying addicts.  Medicaid Expansion is no different.

The alternative to just saying no to either whore in either dress is to identify an actual problem, if one exists, and to come up with a local solution whose terms we control and whose destiny we alone shape.  I guarantee you that this will take more work, but in the long run it will not only cost less, it is more likley to create a climate that gets more people off Medicaid than on it.

A local solution will not lead to a sales or income tax.

It will not tie us to the Federal Government.

It will not give Republican Cover for ObamaCare.

And it might actually provide better care to people who actually need, where they need it.

But you have to say no first.  Anything but no to this special session to water-board New Hampshire’s unique position is the wrong answer.

Call it what you want, spin it like a top, hide the fact that somewhere there are people promising the NH State Republican Party Leadership and its warm-body candidates buckets of money and marquee fundraising candidates if they just screw their own taxpayers and bail out the Democrat health-care debacle.

Real New Hampshire Republicans need to abandon this plot to legitimize Obama Care.  They need to stop it now.  It wont end well.
