The New State Color Will Be Potato

That’s right, It is time for a new state vegetable. No, I’m not kidding.   By a vote of 276-75 the New Hampshire House today voted to change our state vegetable to the White potato.

Racists.

The potato bill cites research showing New Hampshire was the first state to cultivate the white potato in North America when an Irish immigrant brought a sack of seed potatoes in 1719 to the area now known as Derry.

Virginia challenged that research, but has since conceded. The bill will now be considered by the Senate.

On a related note, if I remember my Itse correctly, we were also the first state with a Constitution. Can we get the Democrat majority to honor that next?  And can I get a side of fries while I’m waiting?

HB 535 An Act establishing the White Potato as the state vegetable.
