Most Liberals / Progressives have never understood or accepted the first quote.  I am quite sure that almost NONE of them accept the premise of the second.

Co-founder of GraniteGrok, my concern is around Individual Liberty and Freedom (and how Government is taking that away from us). My fight, from a Conservative (with small "L" libertarian leanings) and evangelical Christian perspective, is with the Progressives that are forcing a collectivized and secular humanistic future upon us. As TEA Party activist, citizen journalist (and pundit!), my goal is to use the New Media to advance the radical notions of America's Founders back into our culture again.

    I’m happy to see any reference to the great sci-fi writer Robert Heinlein, but I find it curious that Groksters don’t recognize Heinlein’s quite explicit and public political persona, represented (IMHO) in his finest non-sci-fi book, published posthumously by his wife in 1992 — before the youngest Tea Partiers were out of their diapers: TAKE BACK YOUR GOVERNMENT! – A Practical Handbook for the private citizen who wants their democracy to work.

    My own 2004 e-book via Amazon, WE THE PEOPLE: A Conservative Populism, can be cosidered either a sequel or companion to Heinlein’s. My 2012 book, A NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION: How “We the People” can truly “take back” their government, is a sequel and companion to both predecessor volumes.
