According to a handy dictionary, here are some of the definitions of the word: “1. A dirty or slovenly woman. 2. An immoral woman; a prostitute.”
Well…she doesn’t appear “dirty” or “slovenly.” And we have no idea whether she’s getting paid for all the sex she’s
having, so we can’t say for sure that she’s a prostitute at this point (at least not a sexual prostitute; prostituting oneself to government in order to get free handouts…well, that’s another discussion).
But wait! How about…”immoral.” Good word. One definition is “unscrupulous or unethical.”
Is it “scrupulous” or “ethical” to demand that government force religions and religious institutions to transgress their faith and beliefs? Is it “ethical” or “scrupulous” to demand that government force others pay for your birth control when doing that violates various religious tenets of those who are forced? I don’t think so. But wait!
Here’s another definition of an immoral or unscrupulous person: “One who makes no attempt to curb self-indulgence.” Am I talking about balling all the time? Not at all! Have at it (as they say). It’s a free country (so long as you don’t cross any of the proliferating government security agencies and police forces).
But I AM talking about the “self-indulgence” of telling other people—Everyone! Tout le monde!—that “they” must pay for “your” contraception. That’s—dare I say it?—“immoral”! So get off your high horse, Sandra. You ARE immoral if you seek to harness government power to force the rest of us to pay for your contraception. That is the principle you apparently don’t understand.
