Al Arabiya is reporting some explosive allegations. Kuwaiti-born Alan Bender, who “claims to have deep ties with governments and royal officials across the Middle East,” says that Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar is a groomed foreign agent of Qatar.

Omar has been associated with some very sketchy business in the past, but this would be the most serious accusation to date. Not that accusation of marrying your own brother, the alleged campaign finance violations, or seducing a married man away from his wife (whom you are paying as a consultant) is not sketchy. But Bender says Omar was being prepared by Qatari influence before she ever considered a run from Congress.
She is alleged to have used her position in the US Government to collect and transmit sensitive material through Qatar to Iran. She is also alleged to have recruited others inside the US as part of a broader Qatari influence campaign inside the United States.
“Bender was subpoenaed in a lawsuit against the Qatari emir’s brother, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad al-Thani, who stands accused of ordering his American bodyguard to murder two people and holding his hired American paramedic prisoner.”

American officials are regarded, according to the testimony, as easy to buy because they are so cheap.
I imagine that on an oil Emir’s budget all but a very few things in the world look cheap.
