Merrimack voters are getting thousands of out-of-state postcards. They’re being asking to vote Democratic in the upcoming State Representative Special election on Tuesday, April 13th.

The postcards are addressed to VIP Voter, Informed Voter, Essential Voter, or Important Voter, and signed with a first name only. They look like they’re handwritten, but of course, they’re not.
These postcards are from Charleston, South Carolina, Raleigh, North Carolina, and what looks like Nova Scotia!
These are from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Greensboro, North Carolina.
Yet another postcard from Sacramento, California.
How much money is being spent on this campaign? No one really knows. How can anyone figure that out? The Democratic Party appears to have endless funds for postcards, advertisements, and bulk mailings. I suppose with the Republicans being a slim House majority, it makes some sort of sense for the Democrats to try to buy an NH state rep election with out-of-state money.
Hopefully, Merrimack voters will take the time to do their own research and vote based upon the issues that are important to them, not by which candidate sends them the most postcards.
