A Note On Truckers

My NHnative Dad came home from Vietnam to NH, took off that uniform, and put one on for a local trucking company. He climbed out of the cab fairly recently to finally retire, he drove right up to age 67.

He told me as a kid that a whole lot of Truckers are Veterans that see truck driving as another way to contribute to our country. I don’t think that people think about the fact that these people move the most valuable and dangerous things this nation produces around in trucks.

They haul diamonds, the ink, and the paper that they make our cash out of, credit cards, nuclear waste, things for the Military, someone’s four million dollar race car, dead bodies, vital medical supplies, the food we survive on, it all gets moved around on trucks and we are entirely dependent upon these drivers. It’s these people that really do run the actual show.

My Dad told me as a kid, which is a long time ago now, that Truck Drivers are really what runs this nation because they possess the entire power to shut the whole country down as soon as they all collectively decide to park the trucks.

There are a whole lot of them in those cabs entirely for that reason..they are there to make sure it all gets where it needs to go- for us.

We are about to learn something from these people..and we Will Be Made To Listen.

They can see that it’s time to put it in the park and let ‘er idle for a while.

Daddy’s Home and he means business.
