Apparently, the FBI has concluded, after testing the gun that killed Halyna Hutchins, that it could not be fired except with the hammer fully cocked, and only then by pulling the trigger.
Which is the same conclusion that I reached, in my own tests, almost a year ago.
But given its recent track record for competence and veracity, I have to believe that the FBI is either wrong or lying about the result.
Which would mean that I was wrong, and Alec Baldwin is innocent. Because if you can’t mistrust the FBI, who can you mistrust?
