As It’s Largest Shareholder Is Elon Musk Gunning to “FIX” Twitter?

At the end of last week, Elon Musk dropped a few billion and bought himself a majority share of Twitter. With just 9.2% of available shares in his hands, he is now the largest shareholder of the social media platform.

Is this why?

“Given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy. What should be done?” Musk wrote in another tweet on March 26. “Is a new platform needed?”

Instead of building a rival to compete against Twitter, has Musk decided it is easier to take over this one and fix it?

That would be a fantastic thing to behold.

His investment has jump-started the share price, and while his current stake is passive, it would not take much for him to become an active shareholder. A hostile takeover of sorts that could have far-reaching implications. Musk has increasingly become more libertarain with his political musings, while Twitter is a reliable boil on the progressive ass and a tool of the Left.

If Musk decides to go for a buyout, the Twitter culture could see significant changes that most employees – if the buzz is accurate – would hate. Twitter appears content to be one of those woke Marxist cesspools.

Can you imagine Twitter defending free speech by simply staying out of the way? It’s really that easy. Just watch for the truly threatening and dangerous and let the community address the rest with more free speech.

It might also become a place where liberal opinions are no longer left unchallenged? No more tagging or flagging, or fact-checking. The community standards would change to be more open. Not so easy for the Dems and their water carriers to swallow. They like their monopoly, but Musk’s influence could change that.

Let us know what you think. Is Mr. Tesla moving to change the face of Twitter? If not, why buy this much of a stake?

It’s not Facebook, which he joked about buying so he could delete it.
