There is a movement that has risen up over the last few years called the Maker Movement (among other names). Simply, it is people who just make stuff for themselves – don’t buy it, make it. Electronics, steampunk, wood, crafts, arts, and anything else someone wants to do. They do in the physical world what we do here in the blogosphere – except you can touch their stuff while ours are the ephemeral ideas (which in themselves, can affect people as well).
So, instead of the hum-drum “turn bucket over head” – this guy build a cold water air cannon and shoots himself! A bit pretentious in the beginning, the reaction at the end is worth the 2 minutes of your time:
