Erik Milito, Director of Upstream and Industry Operations for the American Petroleum Institute came one, mostly because Skip wanted to know what the industry’s response to President Obama’s release of 30 million bbls of oil from our Strategic Petroleum Reserve was. We also talked about drilling in Alaska, the pipeline, the natural gas pipeline blocked by the EPA, and the "danger" of fracking in releasing the huge new deposits of hydrocabons that could make the US energy independent (but the greeny NIMBYs and BANANAs keep blocking it). NH State Rep. and Majority Leader DJ Bettencourt updated us concerning the recently completed session of the NH House. We talked about a few of the problems in trying to "herd the cats" after being out of power and some of the things that were of significance in ‘delivering on the promises’ made during campaigning. Certainly, we did not get through everything, so he’ll be back on soon and we’ll walk through the list of bills passed. Part 1 Part 2
