So, what now – so, Fergus doesn’t believe we went blue?

Over at PolitickerNH they have a Red / Blue map – and it’s not a pretty sight. Our work is cut out for us.

Blue NH map

Click here, then on NH on the resulting map and see what town voted for which candidate.

As I said here, the NH GOP Chair had the following to say:

…New Hampshire has clearly not become a blue state, but remains a competitive toss-up state where neither party has a built-in advantage…

If the above map doesn’t show it well enough (in terms of votes for President) and at least recognize that there is a problem, we got a lot more problems.

Meanwhile, it seems that the horse trading and politicking is starting anew on the Republican side as to who should be leading.  Fegus demurs to answer, Senator Gregg says he is going to run again, Now!Hampshire talks about Sununu going for the national RNC Chair….the aftermath results of losing elections may be an entertaining as the runup to the election.

Here in NH, the race is starting out both in the House where Sherman Packard and Fran Wendelboe have announced their intentions of snagging the Minority Leader brass knuckles ring as as David Hess has decided not to pursue it.

In fact, Fran seems to be quite sure of herself, as it seems she’s not content with just leading the House Republican Legislators.  Looks like she believes she already has the inside track at taking over the NH GOP Chair as well:

"If I did decide to run for Republican chair, and I’m not saying that it’s anything I’m seriously considering at this point in time, I think I start off as probably the frontrunner," Wendelboe said.

And even if she fails at either, it looks like she is firing the first shots across anyone else’s bow by promising to use her political muscle as head of the Reagan Network if not voted in:

"Whoever runs for the Republican Party leader the Reagan Network will have an active role in that campaign and re-organizing the county committee and the state committee."

Well, she lives in Belknap County – I wonder if by her statement she will be seeking to become the Belknap County Chair as well?  And changing that as well as the State committee.  Heaping big plate, that is…

Hmm….change, lots of change.  I do believe I’ve heard that word from somebody else lately too….

Remember, overreach can be worse than underperforming (especially as the former generally means that the latter is close behind).

May we all live in interesting times….
