THE Paris Accord admission that Trump saved us from – all about Lilliputians roping down US industries

Emphasis mine:

RENT-SEEKERS GOTTA SEEK RENTS: German carmakers fear losing competitive edge after U.S. Paris exit.

“The regrettable announcement by the USA makes it inevitable that Europe must facilitate a cost efficient and economically feasible climate policy to remain internationally competitive,” Matthias Wissmann, president of the German auto industry lobby group VDA, said in a statement on Friday.

“The preservation of our competitive position is the precondition for successful climate protection. This correlation is often underestimated,” Wissmann said, adding that the decision by the Unites States was disappointing.

The VDA said electricity and energy prices are already higher in Germany than in the United States, putting Germany at a disadvantage.

Now we know what the Paris Accords were really about — hampering U.S. industries to make Europe’s more competitive.

Heh!  Those that voluntarily have put chains upon themselves are TICKED OFF that we have refused to wear their chains!  Did they not know our history and our “up your’s” Scots / Irish attitude towards authority?  The Europeans have turned themselves into a not well run Collectivism but are unhappy that both the British and us have told them to stuff it?  And now they are all uppity and looking for retribution / revenge.  While many are screaming (or sobbing) over what we’ve done, at least one sector of Germany’s industrial might is going “Oh crap, we’re screwed – and we did it to ourselves”.  Yeah, that mandate for “responsible energy” is yet another set of chains, eh?

What we see is an outright admission that this was an effort for extending Collectivism over all.  Germany has already benefited from being in the Euro zone vis-a-vis the other EU slaves countries.  It is clear that Germany has gamed that system in being the BMOC in the EU. It is also clear that while the EU Parliament (a toothless and spineless shame of a democratic entity) and Commission has been doing a lot of the unelected, unaccountable, and bureaucratic work, Merkel is using Germany’s clout in a virtual takeover of the Continent in a way its armies failed to do.

The above is a gaffe – an admission that the Paris Accord was an attempt for the US to cede its Sovereignty to others under the guise of “it is voluntary, self-reporting, and no accountability / enforcement mechanisms”.  When, when translated, means that WE would have been held to standards that others would willingly refuse to follow.  If Hillary had won the Presidency, we would now be seeing her creating all kinds of govt bureaucrats (and our tax monies) to carry out an agreement that has no force of law here in the US.

If you Liberals / Progressives / Democrats are gong to blame ANYONE for Trump pulling this plug, blame Obama.  Just like with his bureaucratic issued rules and regulations, this did not follow the Constitutional process.  Because Obama did those rules “on the cheap” and not legislatively getting them passed as he should have, they are being yanked a six-pack at a tie.  Good riddance to them.

The same way with this and Obama’s trade pact – having not been treated as treaties and sent to the Senate for ratification, Trump simply declared that these “executive agreements” lasted only as long as the executive that signed them held the Oval Office.  Which means that they only were in effect while Obama was in office.  He KNEW that if Hillary didn’t win, they’d end up in the circular file as quickly as it takes to say “You’re Fired!”.

And all this wailing and knashing of teeth is all about one thing: that Trump does not worship at the Altar of Obamaism.  Remember what I wrote back in November?

Will President Trump sign the “Dan Pfeiffer” Executive Order?

It will simply read:

All Executive Orders signed by former President Obama are hereby nullified

There goes 95% of Obama’s legacy.  Just like when Dan Ffeiffer crowed about doing the same to President Bush.  And then (WOE to the Rs if they screw this up!!!!) the repeal and replace of Obamacare?

The hardest thing will be to reassure our allies and give our enemies the hairy eyeball.  I’m quite sure there will be lots of other stuff but as Ed Naile, Chair of CNHT reminded me:

SUPREME COURT!

An Executive Agreement is nothing more than an Executive Order wrapped in another bow. Obama once boasted of having a “pen and a phone” – how gut wrenching it must be to him to see his legacy disappearing one pen signature at a time.

buhbye
