SHOT: Report: GOP Leaders May Exclude Border Wall Funds In Next Years Budget
The creation of a border wall along our southern border continues to be something president Trump really wants to make happen.
However, a new report indicates that federal funds for Trump’s border wall may not be included in the House GOP’s budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018. The border wall is estimated to cost upwards of $12 billion, and House Democrats, along with a few House Republicans, are doing everything they can to ensure that funding is not factored into the GOP budget….Ahead of the decision to include the funds or not, House Speaker Paul Ryan indicated that border wall funding would not be included in the GOP budget
CHASER: Why does the GOP keep giving its base reasons to NOT vote for them?
Trump, and a bunch of Republican coat-tailers, were elected on this issue (as well as the “next Supreme Court Justice”). If you disagree with that sentence, you WILL have to agree that being LOUDLY against illegal immigration got Trump elected. So the GOP is now telling the base that its priority of getting that wall built is NOT important? One again, the GOP is screwing up – they aren’t listening to them that brung’em to the dance.
All because, well, they screwed up earlier – they’ve again failed to assemble the passle of appropriation bills (“you can spend this on that”) that they should be and are facing, once again, the financial “all stop” on April 28th. No money, no Federal Govt? Remember all those promises that Ryan made about “returning to regular order”? Remember that was said before Ryan became Speaker as well?
Stupid Party. They could screw up a bar of gold.
