As I keep saying, you have brought us upon yourselves. If you had done your jobs right and without fancy pants airs, keeping a sense of servant leaders, you wouldn’t have the Trump or Bernie phenomena biting you in the butt. We are a people slow to anger but once ticked off, uncontrollable. After all, we are descended from brigands, outcasts, fortune seekers, those seeking liberty, and outsiders. Summary?
Predisposed to hate those that would try to rule over us without permission. The GOP and the DEMs are seeing this at play – if you don’t listen to your “customers”, they will go elsewhere. You had ONE job – and the people are telling you that you screwed up. Folks don’t like being taken for granted and looked down upon when they don’t behave “as expected”.
I do smile every time I hear of the GOP Establishment, the Smart People, the pundits, the political operatives just not understanding why people are not acting as they believe they should be. I know, and most of us here at the ‘Grok, and understand perfectly well what is happening and why; it is not a deep dark secret. It is rather simple: this is what happens when you treat people badly and and take them for granted. When you make it known that you despise them, they go elsewhere. Hey, here in NH, we see the elected leadership in the House and Senate voting against what the base believes in. We see the GOP Committeetwits, Bergeron and Duprey, actively advocating against the beliefs of the base of the Party as seen in the Platform.
For all of the flowery words at the big rah-rah meetings, we have seen the disdain from watching your actions. Now you can watch ours – and whimper. You have forgotten that leaders aren’t if no one is following and it is simply because you just don’t care – only those in your same bubble count in your estimation.
So Bernie and Trump, realizing what their bases desperately wish for a “product”, are providing just that.
