Although it isn’t being talked about much in the news, witnesses to the horrific Umpqua Community College shooting stated that the killer was asking his victims their religion before shooting. It was been made clear that if a victim said they were Christian they were shot in the head. This extremely disturbing scenario has been ignored by Obama and others but not by the Lieutenant Governor of Tennessee, Ron Ramsey.

From Ramsey’s Facebook page:

While this is not the time for widespread panic, it is a time to prepare. I would encourage my fellow Christians who are serious about their faith to think about getting a handgun carry permit. I have always believed that it is better to have a gun and not need it than to need a gun and not have it.

Our enemies are armed. We must do likewise.

Ramsey isn’t trying to scare people but urge them to protect themselves. He even added a link to the Tennessee website on information about the handgun permitting process in the state. The post was linked to an article from the NY Post that talks about how Christians were specifically targeted and shot in the head if they admitted so. Ramsey refers to other recent shootings that have occurred as well.

The recent spike in mass shootings across the nation is truly troubling. Whether the perpetrators are motivated by aggressive secularism, jihadist extremism or racial supremacy, their targets remain the same: Christians and defenders of the West.

Apparently Tennessee Democrats were not happy about this statement and claimed Ramsey was ‘fear mongering.’ These are the same people who are the first to slam Christians for daring to be pro-life or not baking a gay wedding cake yet won’t admit when Christians have actually been targeted and murdered. Ramsey is clearly trying to urge his constituents to simply protect themselves. Frankly, all people should do the same whether Christian or not.
