Prez Wannabe Polls – 3 different conservative sites

No, we haven’t run one lately – but that will happen.  In the meantime, it was a bit interesting (given the big Voters First Forum last nite in NH) to see how different sites’ readerships voted on some straw polls.  Here are those from Instapundit, National Review Online, and Hot Air (e.g., libertarian leaning, mainstream conservative, militant conservative / libertarian):

In each case, any of the polls, Scott Walker or Ted Cruz were 1 & 2 and I don’t think that is much of a surprise – Ted is seen as the leading true conservative and what Scott has done is getting approval for sticking a stick in the eye of the Democrats in Wisconsin.

The other thing to notice is the Carly Fiorina would have made the “top 10 cut” where she did not in the Fox News rankings for Thursday’s debate.  I have to admit, she has impressed me when she was on our GrokTALK! show, when I have seen her in person, and in a variety of TV interviews.  She’s taken on Hillary (“flying 1M miles is a task, not an accomplishment”) and done very will on explaining her past and her positions – she’s in my top tier along with Ted and Scott.

I am disappointed that Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal would have made it with these polls but also missed in the top tier for Thursday nite; as I tweeted out last night, it was nice to see Rick talking like there was a fire under his butt and more animated – the more sedate, formal-laid back mannerism I have seen to date just doesn’t fit the image.
