Not Wrong, But EVIL: Controlling The Party vs Controlling The Government

As Steve points out, “The Game’s Afoot”, The Plot is hatched – Our overlords once again think it is their job to pick our candidates for us… This time, it is installing Gene Chandler as Speaker of the NH House, just when we need a principled fighter to constrain the spending impulses of Maggie and her bureaucrats.

BlueGnomeInCastleYou know, Once Upon A Time, I believed that the continual backing of losing candidates and malleable officeholders was simply the result of misplaced loyalty to good, but ineffective, people. Then, I thought it was about retaining some leverage over Party operation… Now, I’m practically certain that it is all part of the plan to ‘Reduce us under Absolute Despotism’. Why so?

Because, as our esteemed overlords in the castle keep of old Gnomeville Valley interfere more and more in the attempts of the grassroots to limit government, they have strayed so far from the Party’s mission that they have become the very evil which we must challenge.

You see, just as in Washington DC, where the Party leadership cares more about how much spending they can control, than they do about how much they can control spending, and more about the trappings of power than trapping the powerful bureaucrats, we see here in NH that the Gnome and his minions care more about power and control over the State, than they do about controlling State power over Citizens.

On a good day, they are the Dole-ful tax collectors for the Welfare State, and on a bad day, they are conspiring to limit our essential freedoms – this is not Ronald Reagan’s Republican Party!

Evil GnomeIt is time to call it by it’s true name – in their search for malleable candidates like Scott Brown, Walt Havenstein, Chuck Morse, Jeb Bradley, Gene Chandler, Jennifer Horn, et al, the Party overlords are “NOT WRONG, BUT EVIL!!”

Evil, thy face hath a name, and that name is Sununu (Apologies to Chris and maybe to John E).
