On April 23rd, 2014, Candidate for NH Senate, Scott Brown was invited to a candidates forum in my town of Merrimack, NH. It was to be a debate of every registered as Republican vying to challenge current Democrat Senator Jeanne Shaheen. The Brown campaign did not respond for weeks, but eventually cited a scheduling conflict on June 18th. Senator Brown would not be available to debate the other candidates in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

“The problem with the Brown campaign is that the candidate wants to be treated like the presumptive nominee without answering hard questions or giving people the opportunity to compare him with the other Republicans in the race. Brown begged out of a June 18 debate in Merrimack with other GOP candidates, citing a scheduling conflict, though his campaign this week requested to meet with The Telegraph’s editorial board on that very morning. (We were unable to accommodate the request, but have given Brown’s staff several other dates.)”
I guess the Telegraph had a scheduling conflict of their own. Good for them.
I think a majority of voters should have a similar problem on primary day. Sorry Mr. Brown. I couldn’t vote for you because I had a scheduling conflict. I was busy voting for someone who wasn’t too busy to answer some hard questions.
