Pelosi: “Pass the bill to find out what is in it”

I have to admit to you that I am not used to finding myself reading Nancy Pelosi speeches. In fact the thought troubles me, but here I am reading her latest masterpiece. Speaker Pelosi this morning gave a speech to the National  Association of Counties, and I have to point out a few interesting things. This transcript comes from her website and you can see a video of this event here:

Here is the transcript from her speech to ensure that the highly trained and educated readers of the Grok do not think that I am pulling anything out of context.

“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.  Furthermore, we believe that health care reform, again I said at the beginning of my remarks, that we sent the three pillars that the President’s economic stabilization and job creation initiatives were education and innovation—innovation begins in the classroom—clean energy and climate, addressing the climate issues in an innovative way to keep us number one and competitive in the world with the new technology, and the third, first among equals I may say, is health care, health insurance reform.  Health insurance reform is about jobs.  This legislation alone will create 4 million jobs, about 400,000 jobs very soon."

Somebody please explain what all this means. I read Burke and I re-read it because of the depth at which he wrote. I read this and have to re-read it because of the utter insanity. "Health Insurance reform is about Jobs?" I guess like pizza is about Windex. The CBO and almost every other organization out there studying this issue recognizes that mandating businesses and individuals to spend more of their money has never ever created a job. Unless she means "government" jobs, and you and I both know she means Government jobs.
